Stuck On Repeat

By Jamie Mitchell

It’s competition time! Here’s the first opportunity to have your work feature alongside our contributors. 5 Winning entries will be produced as stationery, swish elasticated notebooks to be precise.

We welcome work from a range of disciplines: Illustrators, Graphic Designers and Photographers alike.

We want you to interpret the brief ‘stuck on repeat’ as a reference to pattern or the repeated. It might not be the typical response, your work might focus
on a repeating event but lack tessellation all together. It’s up to you.
Be inventive!

“As long as habit and routine dictate the pattern of living, new dimensions will not emerge.”
Henry Van Dyke

“In almost every marriage there is a selfish and an unselfish partner. A pattern is set up and soon becomes inflexible,
of one person always making the demands and one person always giving way.”
Iris Murdoch

Details:

The 5 Winners will have their work produced as lined and unlined notebooks in A4, A5 and A6 sizes. They will receive 15% of the profit from sales and will be stocked in Ohh Deer’s stockists and online store. The artwork remains the property of the artist, but cannot be produced in a similar format (i.e. stationery) while the product is still on sale with Ohh Deer.

Deadline: 1st February - Work will be displayed in the competition gallery for a week after that date and a winner will be selected shortly after.

Artwork Size: 43cm x 30cm (9mm spine) 300dpi
File Types: JPEG or PNG
Colours: Anything goes

                                  21cm               0.9cm              21cm

  30cm

Please submit entries to:
competitions@ohhdeer.com

Work submitted earlier than the deadline will be uploaded onto the competition section so people can see it, like it, retweet it etc. We will take the popularity into consideration, but ultimately we will select work that we think best fits the brand.
